Romantic sparks flew for Ann and Nick while working in Grand Cayman, so it was only fitting to say "I do" in the place where their love story began. "We wanted to start our life together by exchanging vows where we initially fell in love. Most of Ann’s family would be traveling anyway because they are from the Midwest, so Cayman was not only a special place for us, but also a great destination vacation for our close family and friends."
With family and friends arriving from as far away as London and Sydney, Ann & Nick put together an itinerary that was not only fun-filled but action packed! They welcomed their guests with a cocktail party at the Royal Palms Club and danced the night away under the stars. The next day, a chartered boat brought everyone to Stingray City and the Kaibo Yacht Club for an amazing afternoon of snorkeling and swimming with the stingrays. Friday morning began with the wedding rehearsal followed by champagne and pastries, and a day of relaxing in the sun and sand.
In the soft white sand of Seven Mile Beach at the Westin Casuarina Resort , family and friends surrounded Ann & Nick as they became husband and wife. Each guest found a keepsake handheld fan on their chair while a caramel colored tulle ribbon with an apricot lily was tied into a bow on the back. The aisle was lined with starfish and bright peach and apricot rose petals. Nick, dressed in an Italian linen three-button suit with a white Prada shirt and dark brown sandals, waited for his bride among an array of light blue hydrangeas created by Octopus Events. Ann was breathtaking in her two-piece gown by Monique Lhuillier.
Ann & Nick celebrated their union on the seaside patio of The Wharf Restaurant. Mini light blue sandboxes with real starfish in the sand served as placards while the table décor included a mixture of different shaped vases with roses, lilies, hydrangeas and candles. "The wedding ceremony was very personal, there was a lot of dancing at the reception, and the food was phenomenal."
Ann recalls, "It is truly the most romantic place I have ever visited. While the turquoise blue water creates a beautiful backdrop for fantastic pictures and ambiance, the service providers, from the photographer to the wedding coordinator to the reception attendants, were outstanding and had our best interests in mind the entire week and wedding day. It was truly a fantastic vacation for all!"
