When Julie and Graham began planning their wedding, they had a clear vision of what they wanted. "We are both very relaxed people, and neither of us wanted a traditional wedding. We fell in love with the idea of saying "I Do" barefoot in the sand with the ocean and sunset behind us." But the most important aspect was to have a wedding and honeymoon their 5 year old son could also enjoy with them.
Sitting on the white sands of Seven Mile Beach, with fabulous snorkeling just minutes away, Christopher Columbus Condominiums in Grand Cayman was the perfect location for romance and family fun! "We were able to relax by the pool and snorkel in the ocean until about 2 hours before our wedding...now that was awesome! If you are having a wedding with kids involved this is the way to go."
Octopus Events assisted Julie and Graham with their destination wedding plans. "The availability of a wedding planner was a big stress reliever." For their barefoot ceremony in the sand, Julie was lovely in an off-white, strapless antique lace dress by Jessica McClintock while Graham was dressed in khaki shorts and an off white linen shirt. "The setup of the location was all a surprise and to walk down the beach and see the beauty that was created for our wedding day was amazing." Following the ceremony, family and friends continued the celebration in the secluded and tranquil setting of Cobalt Coast Resort, with spectacular views overlooking the inviting waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Being able to share the memories of their Cayman wedding with family and friends is priceless. "If we had our wedding to do all over again we would choose to do it the same way. Our son had the most fun ever; he talks about it almost daily. Our wedding in the Cayman Islands was unforgettable!"
